FIT & MEASUREMENT GUIDE imageFIT & MEASUREMENT GUIDE image

At MuttKnee, we have a deep-rooted love for dogs in all their shapes and sizes. However, not all dogs are made equal when it comes to fitting into our specialized braces. Our products are designed to cater to any size dog, providing the necessary support for a wide range of canine health conditions.

To help you determine if a brace is suitable for your furry friend, we have put together a comprehensive fit guide, complete with sizing instructions. Please remember that while our products can offer relief for various conditions, it is crucial to consult your veterinarian for the best course of action for your pup's specific needs.

The first step will require two measurements to determine the proper length for your dog's rehabilitation aide.

1. Measure the distance from the top of the thigh to stifle (knee) area.

2. Measure from the stifle (knee) area down to the hock.

These measurements are crucial, as it helps in selecting the appropriate brace length to ensure maximum support.

After obtaining the measurement for the length of the leg, it's time to measure the circumference of your dog's leg at two specific points.

1. The first measurement should be taken around the widest part of your dog's upper thigh, high up, where the leg meets the body.

2. The second measurement should be taken around the stifle (knee) area.
To find this area, bend the knee slightly and feel the point of the bone in the front of the knee.

These are two of the most important measurements to ensure a snug and comfortable custom fit for your pup.
